🔒 FridgeUp! does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your food data stays on your device.

This Privacy Policy describes how FridgeUp! ("the App"), developed by Carmelo Sigilló, handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

📱 Data Stored on Your Device

All data you enter in FridgeUp! (food items, expiration dates, emojis) is stored exclusively on your device using iOS local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to enable iCloud Backup.

☁️ iCloud Backup (Optional)

If you enable the iCloud Backup feature (available with FridgeUp! PRO), your food data is synced to your personal iCloud account. This data is:

Stored in your own private iCloud account
Never accessible to us or any third party
Subject to Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy

iCloud Backup is disabled by default and can be turned on or off at any time from the app's Settings.

📊 Analytics (TelemetryDeck)

FridgeUp! uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous usage analytics. TelemetryDeck is a privacy-first analytics platform that:

Does not collect any personally identifiable information
Does not use cookies or device fingerprinting
Anonymizes all user identifiers on-device before transmission
Is fully GDPR compliant

The analytics data we collect includes only anonymous usage events such as: app launches, food items added or deleted, and features used. No names, dates, food items, or any personal content are ever transmitted.

📷 Camera Access

FridgeUp! requests access to your camera solely to scan barcodes and expiration dates on food packaging. Images captured by the camera are:

Processed entirely on your device
Never uploaded to any server
Immediately discarded after processing

🔔 Notifications

If you enable notifications, FridgeUp! schedules local reminders about expiring food items. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any external server.

💳 Purchases

In-app purchases (FridgeUp! PRO and tips) are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. All transactions are handled by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

👶 Children's Privacy

FridgeUp! does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app does not collect personal information from any user.

✏️ Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
